It’s official, Borat has finally married.
The film icon has finally found the love of his life and has married her in a private reception.
Sacha Baron Cohen, the man behind the Borat and Bruno films, has tied the knot with Aussie heartthrob Isla Fisher.
The pair had been rumoured to marry for quite some time, but did a good job of keeping the media away.
Speculation begun just over a month ago when Cohen had sent out messages to all close friends and family to keep a certain day free for a special occasion.
While there was no mention of a marriage, it was well implied that was the day the two would share vowels.
The two were wed in a sunset ceremony last Monday, in font of only a small crowd
“We did it – we’re married!,” Fisher said in an email to friends.
“It was the absolute best day of my life and in so many beautiful moments I missed you all so much.
“I thought of you as everything was happening, but Sacha and I wanted no fuss, just us!”
Fisher and Cohen had been an item for over 8 years, after meeting at a party in Sydney.
38-year-old Cohen, reportedly proposed to Fisher over milk and cookies in the garden of the Chateau Marmont hotel in LA two years later.
Together they share a daughter, Olive, who is two years old.
