Britney Spears has hit back to the claims her concert was a flop, after dozens of fans reportedly walked out on the pop stars first show of her Australian tour.

After months of speculation surrounding the singers return to Australia, and on the back of sell out shows across the nation, Spears went from hero to zero after less than an hour on stage.

It is believed her first show, in Perth, was far from a hit with fans, who reportedly were peeved at her miming, lack of crowd interaction and overrated stage performances.

But days after the controversy, Britney’s tour promoters have labeled the allegations as ‘absolute fabrication’, saying they are livid over the rumours.

One of the men in charge of the ‘Circus’ tour, Paul Dainty, didn’t hold back in telling the media how angry he felt.

“It’s the biggest lie I’ve ever heard,” he said.

“I’m so angry, we can take heat if there’s something wrong and people can review shows badly, that’s something you have to live with, but to say people stormed out of the show was an absolute fabrication.”

But while the media were quick to focus on the negatives of the show, the figures do not support the claims, with the concert venue receiving no complaints from the 17,000 strong crowd at the Burswood Dome.

Tickets to one of her Australian shows were selling in advance for up to $200, and in recent weeks there have been scalped tickets being snapped up for twice that amount.

Britney will move onto Melbourne on Wednesday to continue her tour.
