Great news for all male, and a few female fans, with word pop icon Britney Spears could be back on the market.

It is rumoured the controversial singer and entertainer is single yet again after sending her manager/boyfriend, Jason Trawick, back home during her Australian tour.

Britney had apparently proposed to Trawick earlier on in the tour, and much to her surprise, he denied her.

The two have been on the rocks since then, with the volcano finally erupting today.

It has been an interesting couple of weeks for Britney, with her Circus our causing her many headaches already.

After the media hype surrounding her return down under, she became the forefront of a barrage of criticism aimed at her lip-synching shows, and lack of crowd interaction throughout her Circus tour.

But, the love that was blossoming between the two was often seen as the shining light for Spears during the trip, until today.

An anonymous source close to Spears said the marriage denial was the final straw.

“Britney assumed he’d say yes and she couldn’t believe it when he said no,” they said.

“She was furious and embarrassed and it was going to cause major problems if he stayed around.”

Despite the apparent heartbreak, Britney has kept a positive frame of mind, spotted partying at Melbourne’s nightclubs over the weekend, and continuing on the final leg of her tour.

Adelaide is the last stop on the Britney Circus Tour, and while there are many of critics, no one can deny the love Australia has for the pop star.
