Mourners can bid Australian actor Bud Tingwell a final farewell today in a service in central Melbourne. A big crowd is expected to gather at St Paul’s Cathedral to pay their respects to the legendary Australian actor.
Tingwell, 86, passed away last Friday from prostate cancer.
The stage and screen legend made more than 140 film and television appearances, not only in Australia but Britain and the US.
Tingwell’s career ran over seven decades and was best recognized for roles in Australian film ‘The Castle’, ‘Breaker Morant’ and TV series ‘Homicide’.
Over his astounding career Tingwell was awarded many Gold Logies and was inducted into the Gold Logie Hall of Fame in recognition of this successful acting career.
Tingwell was an Australian icon and one that the acting world will surely miss.
