Sex And The City Star Cynthia Nixon is engaged to long-term partner Christine Marinoni.

Reportedly the actor announced her engagement and showed off her sparkling ring at a gay rights rally over the weekend.

Access Hollywood said the Sex And The City star told the crowd she and girlfriend Marinoni had got engaged last month and planned to marry in the near future.

Their five year relationship has been well documented in the media, from the very beginning.

The couple got together after Nixon split with long-time companion Danny Mozes, whom she has two children with.
Nixon is recognised from her roll as lawyer Miranda Hobbes in Sex And The City.
