Aussie Celebrity Dannii Minogue has announced to the world via Twitter that she is set to become a mum!

The X-Factor star tweeted “Woo hoo I’m gonna be a mummy!” on her Twitter page, sending off a frenzy of paparazzi reports in the process.

The 38 year-old was soon followed by her current boyfriend, former rugby league player Kris Smith.

The 31 year-old took his girlfriends lead by also posting on the site: “Woo hoo I’m gonna be a Daddy.”

A spokesperson for the television show X-Factor sent their support to one of their judges.

“Dannii and Kris are very excited and can’t wait to start their family in 2010,” they said.

Dannii’s sister Kylie also publicly stated her excitement on Twitter, posting, “OMG OMG OMG Perfect!!!! So happy!!! A new Minogue!”

Rumours about the pairs newborn had begun to surface a few weeks back when they were seen leaving a Melbourne hospital together.

A spokesperson for Dannii confirmed these rumours.

“Dannii had her 12-week scan this week and was given the results today with the all-clear to make an announcement,” he said.

It is unsure whether Danni will quit her role on the X Factor, or continue for the season as a pregnant soon to be mother.

An in regards to marriage, Smith and Minogue are yet to tie the knot, and according to Dannii in a recent interview, the couple are in no rush either.

“I guess we’ve talked about marriage but we’re trying to take things slowly. I think it’s a guy’s thing to propose, although I haven’t really thought about the details,” she said.
