Another day, another Hollywood break-up.

This times it’s Jim Carey and his pin-up beauty Jenny McCarthy who are calling it quits on their relationship.

For years they were one of the industries most loved and adored couples, a pair who never disgraced the media, and two who did not cause controversy, and went about their business in as much privacy as they could.

In an article in People magazine, Carey’s agent revealed the news to the public.

“Jim and Jenny have recently decided to end their five-year relationship,” Marleah Leslie said
The couple had been supportive of each other through their journey, which included the birth of Carey’s first ever grandchild recently.
“I’m so grateful for the years Jim and I shared together,” McCarthy said.

“I will continue to be in his daughter’s life and will always keep Jim as a leading man in my heart.”

The 48-year-old funny-man actor, echoed his former girlfriend.

“I’m grateful 4 the many blessings we’ve shared and I wish her the very best! S’okay!” Carrey wrote on his Twitter site.

It comes as a surprise for many people in the loop, as the two were earlier this year publicly stating how in love they were with each other, especially Carey.

“Jenny is the first person that I’ve been with where I don’t have a giant question mark over my head,” he said.

Carey and McCarthy will continue to remain close friends and keep in touch with both sides family, but for now, it is an end to yet another Hollywood romance.
