Lindsay Lohan has Katie Holmes to thank for her latest role, after the Holmes turned down her acting gig in the new David Michael’s film The Other Side. Lohan was quick to pick up her pieces, taking the lead role after Holmes dropped out.

LiLo has reportedly been out-of-work for the past few months after she has earned a bad girl Hollywood reputation, but now has Holmes to thank for her new employment.

Allegedly Lohan has struggled to land substantial roles since her hit in 2004 film “Mean Girls” thanks to her constant late arrivals and two counts of Driving Under the Influence.

Producer David Michaels decided to take a chance on Lohan’s acting after Holmes was forced to turn down the role due to her Broadway commitments in “All My Sons”.

Michaels told Pop Crunch that Lindsay is aware of the public’s perceptions of her and is committed to changing that through her new film role.
