Twilight heartthrob Rob Pattinson has revealed his intentions to go from vampire to musical rock-star with a potential career as a musician.

The youthful actor rose to stardom after his main role in the Twilight series, where millions of teenage girls worldwide have fallen in love with his mysterious looks.

Pattinson has showcased his musical ability in one of the soundtracks to the “New Moon” movie, and apparently is pretty good on the guitar and piano.

Many attractive offers from record companies have been forwarded to the 23 year-old, but the most handsome has come from recently retired American Idol judge, Simon Cowell.

The musical manager has reportedly promised Patttinson a lucrative offer, which he surprisingly turned down.

It is believed the Englishmen is looking at taking his musical career very seriously and wants to have control over his genre and style of music, as well as the image of him as a musician.

There are currently issues with signing under Cowell, which would require him to perform under a pop label, and live up to the standards set by it.

Unwanted publicity is also another factor Pattinson would want to avoid, and something that would be synonymous with the major pop label.

By all reports, if he is to choose a career in the musical industry, it will be with a label that allows him to be creative and one not centered around the pop music industry.
