Actress Scarlett Johansson will again try her hand at singing, recording a second duet album to be released later this year. After the non-success of her first debut CD, the Golden Globe-nominated actress will record a sequel to the first.

Johansson’s first CD released in 2008 featured a number of Tom Waits covers and was entitled “Anywhere I Lay My Head”. The album was not on the most popular list and was critically panned.

Despite this, Johansson will release a second album, titled Break Up which will go on sale in September. According to USA TODAY, the latest collaboration with singer/songwriter Pete Yorn was inspired by Serge Gainsbourg’s and Brigitte Bardot’s 1960’s duets and was recorded in 2006.

Break Up will be available to the general public in September this year, if anyone is keen for a second look at Johannson’s singing (talent?).
