Home and Away’s Alf Takes Home Gold Logie

Yes, that is right. After 40 years in the industry, and 22 years of playing flamin’ Alf on the Aussie soap drama Home and Away, Ray Meagher has finally got himself a golden logie.

The veteran actor pipped Rebecca GIbney for the award and delighted thousands of Australians who have campaigned for the man to finally win the prestigious award.

But Gibney didn’t leave empty handed, she too  home a silver logie, and her show Packed to the Rafters took home three gongs.
