Aussie teen heartthrob Todd Lasance is breathing a sigh of relief today after a Sydney court overturned his good behaviour bond today.
The Home and Away star ad been caught late last year with a small amount of cocaine on him at the shows Christmas party on December 12.
The amount, .36 of a gram, was not deemed as enough to charge the star with any dealing charge, and it was clear it was for possession only.
However, the original 12 months good behaviour bond handed down to the 24 year old would have meant that he would not be able to travel outside of Australia until the year had lapsed.
In court today Lasance’s lawyer appealed against the severity of the sentence saying denying the actor entry into the US would severely affect his career.??His lawyer argued his client, who was nominated for another Logie (the Australian equivalent of an Emmy) earlier this week, has a good chance of winning roles in Hollywood.
The magistrate eventually agreed to let him off so he can pursue his ambitions overseas.
It comes as more good news for the man who plays Aden Jefferies on the popular TV show, who earlier this week was nominated for a Logie award.
The news, however, did not come without some controversy. There are many people who are arguing that the only reason Lasance was let off is because of his fame.
Not sure how true that is, but the decision is a comforting one nonetheless.
