American Idol host Ryan Seacrest can breath a sigh of relief after news his alleged stalker has been ordered to stand trial for his alleged menacing actions towards him.

25-year-old Chidi Uzomah had been charged by the LA County District Attorney’s Office with felony stalking.

It was alleged the Seacrest fan allegedly violated his restraining order by showing up to the Idol star’s workplace with a knife in his pocket last year.

The stalking acts were committed between September 15 and October 30, which was the day he was arrested at the E! Building, where Seacrest does his daily radio and TV show.

In a restraining order handed out by the judge, it states that Uzomah must stay at least 100 yards away from Seacrest for the duration of three years.

Uzomah was also charged with two misdemeanor counts of disobeying a prior court order, after assaulting a guard at Children’s Hospital in Orange County.

He was ordered to stay clear of Ryan Seacrest, but failed to do so and as a consequence faces a hefty penalty.

If convicted, Uzomah faces a maximum of four years in state prison.

The court case for the matter is expected to continue on February 2.

In the meantime, Seacret continues to go on with his work unphased, knowing that Uzomah is under a close watch by LA police officials.
